Margaret currently serves as the Vice President and Clinical Director of the Community Health Center (CHC), Inc headquartered in Middletown, Ct. CHC is a private, non-profit federally qualified health center which provides comprehensive primary medical, dental, mental health and social services care to 40,000 mostly low income and/or uninsured persons through its seven locations in Connecticut. As an advanced practice registered nurse and family nurse practitioner, she maintains a clinical practice as well at the Community Health Center’s site in Clinton, CT. Her expertise is in the area of health care policy and management, particularly with regards to the underserved population. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Connecituct, a Master’s Degree in Nursing and Community Health from Yale University, and holds an appointment at the Yale School of Nursing as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Margaret is a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow, 2002-2005. She is also currently the co-creator and co-chair of the Middlesex Community Access Project, one of seventy national demonstration projects funded by HRSA to develop innovative infrastructure solutions for the uninsured.
